Salfa Event Inauguration

The University of Technology and Applied Science, Muscat, initiated a new event titled "Salfa," that aimed at fostering communication skills among students through open discussions. The first session, held on Monday, February 19, 2024, was organized by Ms. Israa Al Ajmi and Tawasul Group in the open area of the university’s Applied Science Campus. The discussion centered on the students' perspectives on Oman Vision 2040 and the university's initiatives on this vision.
A good number of students from various departments participated in this pioneering event. Dr. Badr Al Shabibi, Deputy of the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Postgraduate Studies, Scientific Research, and Innovation, and Mr. Mohammed Al Kharusi, Deputy of the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Electronic Systems and Student Services, Students Affairs, Staff, and Teachers, actively engaged with the attendees.
During the session, students expressed their opinions and aspirations regarding Oman Vision 2040 and their desire to contribute significantly to its success. Some participants shared their involvement in the country's policymaking and strategy development processes, providing illuminating examples for those less familiar with such activities.
In the upcoming session next month, students will have the opportunity to select another topic for discussion.
