Health and Safety Induction Session for New Teaching Staff
College of Economics and Business Administration
The Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Team of the College of Economics and Business Administration conducted a Health and Safety induction session for newly joined teaching staff on May 7, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at BS125. Mr. Nawaz Khan presented the session.
The following faculty members attended the session: Dr. Anas Mahmoud Khalid, Dr. Rashmi Mishra, Mr. Amir Hossein Nozarian, Ms. Mirna Wagdy Amin Samy Faltas, and Mr. Ali Saif Hamood Al Sharji.
The induction familiarized new staff with essential health and safety procedures and institutional responsibilities. The session covered the following key topics:
· The objectives of the Health and Safety induction session
· Responsibilities for health and safety within the campus
· The Health and Safety organizational structure
· The Health and Safety policy, including committee roles and functions
· Hazard identification and reporting procedures
· Emergency procedures and evacuation plans
· Assembly points and emergency contact information
· First aid arrangements and incident reporting procedures
The session helped new staff understand key safety protocols and strengthened their ability to maintain a safe working environment within the college. The participants actively engaged in the session by asking questions.
