On February 19, 2025, the Department of Business Studies at the College of Economics and Business Studies organized a guest lecture on Educational Counselling for students of HR Counselling and Mentoring.

The guest speaker, Mrs. Fathiya Hamood Mohammad Al-Salmi, Head of Counseling and Graduate Follow-up, shared her expertise and experiences to help students understand the significance of counselling. She defined it as a professional process that enables individuals to explore their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors in a safe and confidential environment.

Mrs. Fathiya Hamood Mohammad Al-Salmi emphasized that counselling is not limited to individuals facing severe mental health issues; rather, it is also beneficial for anyone seeking personal growth or support in coping with everyday challenges. She highlighted common student concerns, including academic pressure, career uncertainty, relationship problems, and stress. To illustrate its impact, she shared real-life examples demonstrating how counselling helps students navigate these challenges effectively.

The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment, allowing students to engage further with the speaker.
