The University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Suhar is an academic institution for higher education that started as an Intermediate College for Teachers in 1990. In 2007, it was transformed into an Applied College affiliated with the Ministry of Higher Education, then in 2020 it became a part of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences by Royal Decree No. 76/2020.

The university's branch in Suhar aims at scientific and academic excellence, graduating distinguished students in scientific knowledge, digital applications, and professional practical certificates. Moreover, they have creativity and entrepreneurship skills to compete with merit to break into the labour market.
