It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the website of UTAS-Muscat. We have made changes to ensure that your experience in navigating our website is delightful and meaningful. We pride ourselves in being the oldest higher institution in Oman and the second largest. Our programs are carefully tailored for the needs of Oman economic development. Academic programs are designed with the immense engagement of all stakeholders, namely industry, staff, students and graduates.

It is our aspiration to be leaders in technical and applied education and to produce an environment conducive to excellent teaching and learning, research and innovation.

As a student, you will receive specialized knowledge and intensive practical skills in the workshops, laboratories and field work. The On-The-Job training is an opportunity for our students to engage in a real working environment for two months to enhance and grow their competencies.

The hands-on experience of our students and their application of knowledge are hallmarks for our success and our graduates’ reputation. We also invest in our students’ soft skills and digital literacy with our focus on newly emerging industrial technologies such as IoT, automation, cloud computing, and data analysis.

The strong and growing partnerships with industry make our programs economically relevant and our graduates highly sought. We partner with industry and mutually work on the challenges facing their production activities. Our dedicated researchers invest efforts and time to find solutions and help make decisions.

I hope you all participate in the various extra-curricular lectures, seminars and workshops voluntarily offered for the public. We strongly believe that we are part of a larger community, and our expertise should be shared with community members.
