Preparatory Studies Centre

The Preparatory Studies Centre is responsible for contributing to the preparation of the University branch's plans related to the Centre and following up on their implementation once approved by the competent entities. It supervises the enforcement of rules, regulations, and policies related to the Centre and proposes their development in coordination with concerned sections. The Centre implements and assesses preparatory programs to identify areas for improvement and works on their development in collaboration with the Preparatory Studies Centre. It develops systems, curricula, assessment methods, and educational materials for preparatory programs and submits necessary reports. The Centre carries out standard benchmarks to ensure program outputs comply with international standards and applies the standards of the Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation to preparatory studies programs at the branch. It proposes qualification programs for faculty members to raise performance levels, prepares annual reports on achievements, identifies challenges, and proposes development plans. The Centre also proposes professional development programs for its employees and implements them in coordination with competent entities, contributes to improving services provided, and undertakes any other duties within its competence.
