This study explores the perceptions and representations of self-orientalism among Omani celebrities on Instagram. The subject has been selected because it is a crucial one that requires investigation, as Oman has not yet seen any prior research on it. It is also critical to have some understanding of Omani identity in its purest form.

Cultural Diversity in Tour Guiding: An Exploration of Communication and Practices in Oman’s Tourism Industry
The study examines cultural diversity dimensions and communicative strategies adapted by tour guides in Oman’s tourism industry, assessing intercultural awareness levels and challenges faced by guides during multicultural contexts. Using mixed methods, data was collected from tour guides and tourists. Results show that while guides are highly aware of cultural differences, the face challenges in overcoming cultural and communicative barriers, highlighting the need of targeted training. The findings significantly contribute to enhancing intercultural communication strategies in Oman’s tourism industry.
