Workshop titled: Artificial Intelligence in Education
The College of Economics and Business Administration (CEBA) at UTAS conducted a staff development workshop titled "Artificial Intelligence in Education – Exploring AI's Role in Teaching and Learning" at Lab C-109. The session was facilitated by Mr. Allan Salburo from the Math and Computing Skills Section and coordinated by Dr. Mohammed Nazeer Ahmed from the Staff Development Committee.
The workshop introduced faculty members to AI tools that enhance teaching efficiency, especially in creating PowerPoint presentations. Nearly 20 participants attended the session.
Key tools covered included:
ChatGPT & Deepseek with VBA for automating slide content.
Gamma.app for smart, visually appealing slide generation.
Tome.app for interactive, multimedia-rich presentations.
The session featured live demonstrations and practical tips, encouraging faculty to integrate AI into their teaching practices.
