IS Specialization Awareness Program

The Information Systems (IS) Unit of the Information Technology Department, College of Computing and Information Sciences, successfully conducted a weeklong Information Systems Specialization Awareness Program from 5th to 9th October 2025 for Diploma First Year students of CSCM1101: Fundamentals of Computing and Information Systems.

The initiative, led by Dr. Wasim Haidar S.K., Head of the IS Unit, with support from Dr. Lamya Al Shanfari, Head of the Department, aimed to familiarize students with the IS specialization, its role, scope, and career opportunities.

The sessions provided valuable insights to help students make informed decisions about their academic and career paths.
