Innovation in Logistics: A Pioneering Workshop in Collaboration with Asyad Group

 

In a strategic move to foster entrepreneurship and innovation in the logistics sector, the Partnership and Entrepreneurship Department at UTAS-Muscat, in collaboration with Asyad Group, hosted a specialized workshop under the Sparkpreneur Program. The session brought together industry experts and aspiring entrepreneurs to explore cutting-edge advancements and opportunities in the logistics sector.

The workshop kicked off with Ms. Aisha Al Balushi, who delivered an insightful session on product development in logistics services, highlighting the latest technologies shaping the industry and how businesses can stay ahead in this rapidly evolving sector.

Following this, Mr. Shuraih Al Baimani provided an exclusive deep dive into Asyad Group, shedding light on its pivotal role in driving innovation and entrepreneurship. He shared valuable insights on how Asyad leverages its vast ecosystem to create opportunities for startups and SMEs, reinforcing Oman’s position as a logistics powerhouse.

Taking the discussion further, Ms. Iman Al Janibi emphasized Asyad’s commitment to empowering the local market, with a special focus on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and emerging entrepreneurs. She showcased Asyad’s proactive strategies in tackling logistics sector challenges through innovation, highlighting key initiatives such as hackathons, accelerators, and business incubators aimed at fostering creative solutions and redefining the future of logistics in Oman.

Adding an extra layer of impact, Ms. Fatma Bahwan, CEO of Al Jabr Foundation, conducted an interactive workshop on Design Thinking and Idea Generation. Her session encouraged students and entrepreneurs to push creative boundaries, equipping them with tools to develop innovative, sustainable, and market-ready solutions.
