Business Department Students participated in the field trip to Muscat Stock Exchange - MSX Educational Visit

A group of around 40 students from business studies specialization embarked on an educational visit to the Muscat stock exchange - MSX, gaining practical insights into the financial world on 11th May 2023, between 9.00 AM – 11.00 AM. The students were accompanied and supervised by three lecturers of Business studies department namely, Hassan Sanadi, Sameena Begum and Dr. Donalie Cabral.

On arrival to the stock exchange the student were been guided to the business hall wherein they were been given an interesting presentation on Investment and Savings by the Awareness Specialist Eng. Shifa Adnan Al Ansari. The session was followed by a tour of the trading floor.

Overall the students were captivated by the intensity and scale of the environment. Engaging with professionals provided invaluable knowledge, inspiring future career aspirations. The visit deepened the students understanding of stock trading and market dynamics. The visit also emphasized risk management and resilience, teaching the students the importance of informed decision-making. Reflecting on the experience, many students expressed transformed perceptions of finance and a newfound interest in pursuing related careers. The trip bridged the gap between theory and practice, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills. Ultimately, the visit highlighted the significance of real-world experiences in shaping students' educational journeys and career paths.
