Workshop on Literature Landscapes: Mapping Your Research Review

The College of Economics and Business Administration at UTAS Ibra organized a workshop titled "Literature Landscapes: Mapping Your Research Review" for Bachelor students on September 30, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM in BS 132. This workshop, conducted by Dr. Shakeb Akhtar, aimed to guide students in crafting well-structured literature reviews for their Graduation projects.

Dr. Shakeb highlighted the importance of defining clear boundaries for the review, using effective search strategies with academic databases and keywords, and organizing the literature either chronologically, thematically, or methodologically. He also demonstrated the use of AI tools to assist in writing and organizing literature reviews, showcasing how these tools can streamline content structuring and citation management. Additionally, he discussed proper referencing styles and the use of online tools for managing citations.

The session was highly interactive, with Dr. Shakeb addressing all queries in detail, ensuring students were well-equipped with the strategies needed to create impactful literature reviews. This workshop reinforced the department’s dedication to academic excellence and student development, providing essential research skills for both academic and professional growth.
