Participation in IEEE Region 8 Branch Counsellor International Forum 2024 on September 17-18 in Lecco, Italy.

We are pleased to announce that our very own, Dr.Shamganth from the Department of Engineering participated in the IEEE Region 8 Branch Counsellor International Forum 2024 held in Lecco, Italy. This event provided a unique opportunity for professional development and knowledge sharing among IEEE leaders dedicated to enhancing the student experience.

  • Participants engaged in comprehensive sessions focused on effectively utilizing Vtools for event management and operational efficiency, which is vital for the success of our Student Branches.
  • The training emphasized strategies for developing impactful annual plans that align with our objectives while fostering member engagement and participation.
  • Attendees explored the role of humanitarian initiatives through Student Branch SIGHT groups, emphasizing the importance of community service and social responsibility.
  • Insights were shared on managing the election process within Student Branches, ensuring transparency and inclusivity during leadership transitions.

This training reinforced our commitment to fostering leadership and innovation within UTAS-Ibra IEEE Student Branch. We express our gratitude to the IEEE team and fellow participants for their insights and collaboration. We look forward to applying these learnings to enhance our branch activities and continue making a positive impact in our community. Also, Dr.Shamganth served as the panel member in the panel discussion on “Effective strategies for enhancing IEEE Student Branch” in the same event as a representation from the Middle East Student Branches.
