Semester 1

 

The course aims to provide the underpinning knowledge in Engineering Drawing and enable the students to produce high quality engineering drawing using manual and computer aided drafting techniques.

The course aims to provide the fundamental underpinning knowledge in Physics mainly related to the topics on measurements, motion, energy, power, optics and sound.

The course aims to introduce the students to the basic concepts of engineering chemistry which form an integral part of those majoring in Engineering and an essential background for those majoring in other disciplines

The course aims to equip the graduates with problem solving, programming skills and to apply real time programming approaches in all engineering disciplines through any latest computer programming languages like python.

The course aims to provide an understanding and awareness of workplace hazards, risks and industrial safety and to impart necessary skills and competence.

Semester 2

The course aims to equip and enhance the students with hands on structured experience on basic engineering practices adhering to safety regulations.

Prerequisite:PHYS1110
The course aims to provide the fundamental underpinning knowledge in Physics mainly related to the topics on electricity, electromagnetism, heat, thermodynamics and modern physics.

The course aims to introduce students to renewable energy resources: availability, potential and suitability as a substitute for conventional energy resources for future energy demands.

This course is designed to impart the theoretical and practical knowledge of Thermodynamics and fluid mechanics using a comprehensive and intensive approach while maintaining an engineering perspective. To set up the basis for future studies in such fields as HVAC and Refrigeration and to brace the students to effectively apply thermos-fluids in the practice of engineering. To acquire an intuitive intellect of thermos-fluids by asserting the Engineering and physical arguments. To familiarize a plethora of real-world engineering examples to students so as they can picturize how thermos-fluids is applied in HVAC and Refrigeration engineering practices.

To illustrate the basic principles and governing laws used in the process of HVAC & Refrigeration system, to develop the skills required to diagnose, maintain, and repair residential air conditioning, commercial air conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration equipment. To set up the basis for future studies in the field of advance HVAC & Refrigeration systems.

To impart the practical knowledge of servicing HVACR equipment using a comprehensive and intensive approaches and to set up the basis for future studies in field of servicing and maintenance of HVACR equipment.

To impart the theoretical and practical knowledge of HVAC Electrical Systems and Controls using a comprehensive and intensive approach while maintaining an engineering perspective. To set up the basis for future studies in such fields as HVAC Refrigeration Electrical Systems and Controls and to brace the students to effectively apply those skills in the practice of engineering.

To equip the student with the knowledge of the practical applications of HVAC, refrigeration equipment and its applications.

Prerequisite:EGAC2130, EGGR1100
To impart the practical knowledge of HVAC and Refrigeration Drafting and Servicing using a comprehensive and intensive approach while maintaining an engineering perspective. To set up the basis for future studies in fields of HVAC and Refrigeration Drafting and Servicing and to equip the students with the essential knowledge of drafting layouts, HVAC Servicing and fault diagnosis in HVAC and Refrigeration systems.
