The staff development committee working under the College of Computing and Information Sciences organized a workshop titled AI-Assisted Teaching Enhancing Educator Effectiveness and Student Engagement on Tuesday, 22-05-2025 between 12:00 PM to 01.00 PM through MS Teams

 Welcome remark & introduction of the speaker was done by Ms. Mallika Banu, Department Registrar. The resource person was Dr. M. Ramkumar, Associate Professor, SIMATS, Chennai, India.

The event gives an insight into Artificial intelligence and is undoubtedly one of the most exciting and happening topics in the world. It also excites educators like us with a topic which is AI assisted teaching, enhancing educators’ effectiveness and student engagement was explained in detail.

Ms.  Sherin Thomas, Staff Development Committee Coordinator, has given vote of thanks for giving the eye-opening session to all our CCIS Staff members.

As a token of appreciation, the Guest speaker was honored by an appreciation certificate by the department.

To conclude, AI is not replacing teachers, these technologies make education more responsive, customized and efficient by enhancing their work environment.
