The Project Competition at College of Commerce and Business Administration, Dhofar University, Salalah, Oman, “Sustainability Week 2024”.

The College of Commerce and Business Administration, Dhofar University, Salalah, conducted Project Competition as part of Sustainability Week 2024! on 11^th & 12^th of November 2024.

With a remarkable number of high-quality submissions, the project from the Engineering Department, UTAS IBRA was shortlisted for final participation as it stood out for its innovation, relevance, and potential to contribute to a sustainable future.

The Bachelor students from Mechanical Engineering namely Al-Azhar Muslem Khalfan Masieid Al-Shukairi & Ali Said Ali Shahdad Al-Balushi participated & secured the 2^nd Place in the event after competing with many projects from all around Oman in the final round for their Bachelor project titled “Design and Development of Novel Smart Wet Waste Collection Bin with Innovative Idea of Rewarding the Users in Oman” along with team members Ahmed Abdullah Saud Rashid Al-Amri and Salim Abdallah Mohammed Said Al-Mashaykhi, under the guidance of Mr. Chethan Godlumane Ramesh, Mr. Salim Obaid Salim Al-Talaii and Mr. Rajababu Natarajan, Department of Engineering, University of Technology and Applied Sciences-Ibra.
