The 14th Arabization Conference

Dr. Salma Al-Naamani attended the 14th Arabization Conference in Muscat from November 17 and 18, 2024. The conference featured four discussion sessions, each consisting of four research papers. During the conference, various approaches to the Arabization of terms and concepts from other languages to Arabic and vice versa were examined, along with the development of specialized dictionaries in fields such as medicine and economics that incorporate Arabic terminology. The aim was to promote the Arabic language in today’s world, characterized by modern technologies and artificial intelligence. The conference was organized by the Center for Translation, Arabization, and Interest in the Arabic Language at the Gulf Cooperation Council, as well as the Coordination Office for Arabization at the Arab League for Education, Culture, and Science Organization.
