On 12 December 2024, Dr. Ramesh Gengatharan from the Business Studies Department participated in the “2nd Workshop on Enhancing Creativity and Innovation in Teaching and Curriculum Delivery,” organized by the Office of the Deputy of the Assistant Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs at UTAS-Muscat. The workshop, held in the Old MPH, brought together academic professionals to explore innovative strategies in teaching and curriculum development. Dr. Ramesh Gengatharan delivered a presentation on “Enhancing Creativity and Innovation in Teaching,” focusing on practical approaches to fostering creative thinking, adapting to evolving academic landscapes, and engaging students through interactive learning techniques. The event was also attended by Dr. G.B. Suresh from the Information Technology Department, Dr. Saravanan Kathirvel from the Engineering Department, and Dr. Amit Kumar Yadav from the PSC. The workshop featured diverse topics such as AI-driven education, hybrid teaching models, augmented reality, and enhancing student engagement using tools like MS Teams and virtual labs. Participants engaged in lively discussions, networking, and reflection sessions. This workshop served as a dynamic platform for sharing and inspiring innovative practices in education.
