At the OQ8 event in Duqm (a joint Hackathon and Civil Society event), Dr. Avnish Pareek's Gelatous team won first place in the civil society category and fourth place in the Hackathon.

The Best Department for Research Day at the UTAS Muscat Branch Level was awarded to the Business Department, College of Economics and Business Administration for its outstanding efforts in organizing and executing a successful Research Day event held between 10th – 14th November 2024.
