To prepare well-rounded qualified graduates to work as teachers in the educational field in Omani education by equipping them with educational and professional competencies and research skills that can enable them to deal with the new emerging trends in curricula and embark in their postgraduate studies in their disciplinary fields.

After completing the program, a graduate will:
- Have a clear vision of the school curriculum, its basic principles, elements and structure which they can further develop.
- Have the ability to apply various technologies, programs and apps in the educational process.
- Have a broad understanding about education and learning theories as well as be able to apply them in teaching; utilize strategies inside and outside a classroom.
- Be able to employ appropriate teaching, learning and assessment strategies and communication models and means to support their learners.
- Acquire the ethics of teaching and be aware of the pertinent legislation.
- Develop scientific research skills and be able to solve educational issues.
- Sufficiently understand the political, cultural, historical and philosophical aspects of the Omani society and use education to strengthen the cultural identity of the Omani society.
